At Doggie Detailing & Resort, dogs enjoy all-day play in a space where they’re free to be themselves. We welcome dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, and we’re committed to providing a safe, happy, and loving environment from sun up to sun down—with care, intention, and transparency every step of the way.

Located on an 11-acre farm in Robinson Township, our Resort offers a peaceful, homelike setting with both indoor and outdoor play areas that are thoughtfully used and temperature-controlled based on the weather. This allows dogs to stay comfortable year-round while running, playing, making new furry friends, and enjoying plenty of one-on-one attention from our friendly, attentive team. Dogs are grouped based on size, energy level, and play style to support safe, positive interactions and enjoyable days for everyone.

We believe trust is built through honesty. Not every facility is the right fit for every dog—and that’s okay. We take the time to get to know each dog as an individual and are always open and upfront with pet parents, because doing what’s best for the dog will always come first. For dogs who prefer their own space, do not get along with other dogs, have medical or special care needs, or an intact male over 6 months of age we also offer a private play area where they can enjoy enrichment, attention, and exercise in a calm, controlled setting.

Owner Krista Shumake is a lifelong animal lover who began her journey at Doggie Detailing & Resort as an employee. Through dedication and a genuine passion for dogs, she stepped into a leadership role before purchasing the business in 2014. Krista personally meets with each dog before introducing them to a play group, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for everyone involved.
