Our daycare philosophy is simple: safety, compatibility, and happy dogs. Every dog is personally met before joining our daycare to ensure they are a good fit for group play. From there, dogs enjoy the freedom to roam and play in a controlled, homelike environment designed for comfort and fun.

Our trained staff are introduced to each dog and take the time to get to know every pup like their own. Team members are always present to supervise, interact, and ensure each dog feels safe and cared for.
Daycare is a great way to keep your furry family member active, enriched, and engaged throughout the day. You can rest easy knowing your dog is in trusted, experienced hands — and leaves happy, tired, and loved.

Here's how to get started

Set up your meet and greet.
We recommend starting by emailing us with some basic information about your dog and what you’re looking for at our facility.
After reviewing your email, we’ll give you a call to talk more about your dog’s personality, socialization, and overall needs. This conversation helps us determine whether Doggie Detailing & Resort is the right fit and allows us to schedule a Meet & Greet appointment.
Meet & Greets are scheduled Monday through Thursday. Drop-off for the evaluation is by appointment only between 10:15–11:15 a.m., and pick-up is between 4:00–6:00 p.m.
A Meet & Greet is required prior to using our services, and all dogs must successfully complete the evaluation process before scheduling daycare or boarding.

Required Documentation
Before your dog can enter our play areas, proof of current rabies vaccination and flea/tick prevention is required. These requirements help us maintain a safe and healthy environment for all dogs in our care.

Meet & Greets are personally conducted by owner Krista Shumake to ensure each dog receives individualized attention and a thoughtful introduction to the resort.

Meet and Greet Day
During your scheduled Meet & Greet, the dog’s owner must be present to review and initial our release form so we have all necessary information on file. This portion typically takes about 30 minutes.
Once paperwork is complete, your dog is brought into the back to acclimate to the environment and take a potty break. Introductions are done gradually and thoughtfully — dogs are introduced one at a time so we can observe interactions and comfort levels.
If at any point your dog appears uncomfortable or shows signs that group play may not be the right fit, we’ll adjust accordingly to ensure their safety and well-being. Our priority is always a positive, low-stress experience for every dog.
Your dog will stay with us for the day and upon pick up a staff member will discuss how they did throughout the day.

FAQ'S
Q: What age dogs can attend?
A: We welcome puppies as young as 8 weeks old. Puppies under 4 months must have a negative fecal test for intestinal parasites (including coccidia and giardia). We also recommend a probiotic to support their developing immune system.
Q: Do you accept intact dogs?
A: Yes! We accept both intact males and females. Intact males over 6 months participate in Private Play, while intact females may attend group play as long as they are not showing signs of being in heat.
Q: Can senior dogs or dogs with special needs attend?
A: Absolutely! Older dogs and dogs who require medications are welcome. We accommodate their individual needs to ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable day.
Q: What if my dog doesn’t enjoy group play?
A: No problem! We offer Private Play options with dedicated indoor and outdoor space, one-on-one attention, and enrichment to meet your dog’s unique needs.
